The invention relates to a stand for studying the principle and performance of nautical magnetohydrodynamic drive. According to the invention, the stand comprises mainly a circular tank (1) filled with a diluted solution (2) of copper sulphate and concentrated sulphuric acid, wherein a magnetohydrodynamic propeller is floating, the propeller being anchored, by means of a resilient arm (3), to a shaft (4) placed on a magnetic bearing consisting of two permanent magnets (5 and 5'), the said propeller comprising a floating support (6), an active part made of two permanent magnets (7 and 7') making one piece with two ferromagnetic parts (8 and 8') fixed by two ferromagnetic elements (9 and 9'), and also of two electrodes (10 and 10') covered with an electrically insulating foil (11) and supplied by some feeders located in the resilient arm, from two collecting blades systems (12 and 12') being in permanent contact with two conductive armatures (13 and 13') placed at the ends of the shaft. The described stand represents an operating model of magnetohydrodynamic propulsion of submarines and surface vessels.
|
