A transport belt (28) is provided for carrying a workman (18) in the working area beside the assembly belt. The transport belt is movably formed into a direction running against the conveying direction of the assembly belt. The transport belt is arranged in a level with an operating platform (22) provided in the area. A partial strip (32) of the platform is arranged between the transport belt and the assembly belt.
