A plasma display apparatus is provided to simplify a manufacturing process by implementing at least one of first and second electrodes as one layer. A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel(100) and an image filter(110) disposed on the plasma display panel. The plasma display panel includes a front substrate having first and second electrodes, which are formed in parallel, a dielectric formed on the front substrate, and a rear substrate, which includes a third electrode across the first and second electrodes, formed opposite to the front substrate. At least one of the first and second electrodes is one layer. A black layer having darker color than at least one of the first and second electrodes is omitted between the dielectric and front substrate. The image filter includes a base layer and a light shielding part having darker color than the based layer on the base layer.
