A laminator assembly (1) comprising a pair of rollers (2a, 2b), the rollers (2a, 2b) defining a compression zone therebetween for compressing a substantially flat lamination pouch (3) as the pouch (3) is fed between the rollers (2a, 2b) and advanced through the compression zone for exit on the exit side of the rollers (2a, 2b), a heat source (5a, 5b) being provided for heating the lamination pouch (3) as the lamination pouch (3) is compressed between the rollers (2a, 2b), the laminator assembly (1) further comprising two sets of blade members (7a, 7b) positioned on the exit side of the rollers (2a, 2b) and spaced from the compression-plane of the rollers (2a, 2b), each set of blade members (7a, 7b) being arranged axially along a respective roller (2a, 2b) and in close proximity to the exterior surface of the respective roller (2a, 2b) for preventing the lamination pouch (3) from passing between the roller (2a, 2b) and respective blade members (7a, 7b), and the laminator assembly further comprising a pair of exit guide plates (10a, 10b) incorporating venting apertures. |
