The flow element has a fluid flow channel formed as a gap partly in a cover plate, and a set of fasteners (40) e.g. screws, pushing the cover plate against a base plate (10). The cover plate is made of plastic, and has openings in a fluid inflow region (26) and a fluid exit region (28), respectively. The fasteners are separately adjustable relative to their compressive force on the cover and base plates, such that a base plate surface (24) and a cover plate surface rest in a contact region in a uniformly closed, dimensional and fixed manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a flow element.
