The recreational jump apparatus has support cables strung between rims of a void and a loading station located at a first rim. A cable car travels on at least two of the cables distal from the load to a docking station. A node is located on the support cables between the docking station and the second rim. Swing ropes extend from the docking station over sheaves on the node to tethered ends for a jumper. Means are provided for returning the jumper to the docking station which still tethered to the jumper.
