<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector having a simple structure and stably connectable to a connection object. <P>SOLUTION: The fitting-side end of an FPC 11 shown by a solid line is inserted between upper beams 2b and lower beams 2c of respective contacts 2 up to depths of the respective contacts as shown by a dotted line. Since a contact 2b1 of each upper beam and a contact 2c1 of each lower beam are arranged by being shifted from each other in a fitting separation direction of the FPC to the connector 1, the FPC can be easily inserted and extracted. After inserting the FPC, an actuator 4 is rotated clockwise at about 90°around a cam 4a. Then, the cam 4a pushes the vicinity of the fitting-side end of the FPC to rotate the FPC counterclockwise. Thereby, a metal plate (its surface is insulated) 11a fixed to the upper surface of the FPC is brought into press-contact with the upper beams of the respective contacts, and a conductor pattern formed on the undersurface of the FPC comes into contact with contacts of the respective lower beams. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
