The method involves determining temperature of a phase (4c), and determining a set of temperatures of a set of phases (4a, 4b) based on the former predetermined temperature of the former phase. The set of temperatures of the set of phases is determined based on a correlation between the former predetermined temperature of the former phase and an electrical resistance of the former phase from an electrical resistor of the set of phases. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for the operation of an electric machine.
