METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVING GAP BETWEEN AUDIO FILES

A method and an apparatus for removing gap between audio files are provided to remove gap in the first part and end part of a file to remove disconnection while a file is switched in the reproduction of the audio files, thereby solving inconvenience that the audio file is harsh to the ear. A method for removing gap between audio files comprises the following steps of: determining whether frames include the end part of a first file and the first part of a second file(210), wherein the frames are decoded from the audio files and are stored in a buffer(200); removing samples with a predetermined threshold value out of samples constituting the frames if the frames include the end part of the first file and the first part of the second file(230); and determining a pair of samples connected by the minimum difference between a predetermined number of samples in the end part of the first file and the first part of the second file after the removal of a first gap, and removing samples between the determined pair of samples(240).
