The invention relates to a support for a chest compression system comprising a back plate (1), a front part (2) and a side part (3), characterised in that the front part (2) comprises a seat (4) for a compression member (5) and that the side part (3) is adapted to provide adjustable spacing between the seat (4) and the back plate (1). The invention relates also to a chest compression system comprising such a support.
