A linear actuator using a piezoelectric element is provided to reduce a volume or a size of the linear actuator by performing the linear driving with a structure of a stacked type piezoelectric element, a weight body and a clamp. A linear actuator using a piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric element(10), clamps(20a,20b), a fixing tube(30), and a weight body(40). The piezoelectric element is formed by alternatively stacking a piezoelectric layer and an electrode layer. The piezoelectric element generates a change of a shape if a high frequency voltage is applied to the electrode layer. The clamps are installed on both sides of the piezoelectric element, and support the piezoelectric element which is located inside the fixing tube. The weight body is installed on a side of the piezoelectric element, and moves the clamps toward a changing direction by a changed inertia force when a shape of the piezoelectric element is changed. |
