A sheet for covering a mattress or a chair is provided to form an environment that germs cannot grow and help to obtain a mattress or a chair that has excellent antibacterial capacity. A sheet for covering a mattress or a chair includes a surface layer(11), a rear layer(13) and a middle layer(12). The surface and rear layers are made of a general fiber material. The middle layer is interposed between the surface layer and the rear layer, and is made of a polyurethane film. After the middle layer is interposed between the surface layer and the rear layer, all of the layers are bonded with an adhesive or thermally fused to make the surface layer, and the rear layer and the middle layer are integrally bonded. The surface layer and the rear layer are constituted in a weight ratio of 5:4.
