A functional garbage can is provided to prevent diffusion of a bad smell and insects by promptly pushing the bad smell and the insects in a large lower garbage can with a cover when opening and closing opening/closing plates. In a functional garbage can, a cover(5) with a grip(4) is installed at an upper end of a single-layer cover(3) covered on a garbage can(1) to be moved up and down in a garbage input chamber(7). Two L-shaped opening/closing plates(11,11') having holes(10,10') are horizontally inserted into gaps(9,9') formed on both walls(8,8') of a lower end of the single-layer cover. Thin mandrels(13) having springs(12,12') are fixed to the both walls through the holes formed on the two L-shaped opening/closing plates. |
