A plasma display panel is provided to increase discharge efficiency of an address electrode by increasing an opposed area between scan and/or common electrodes and an address electrode. A plasma display panel includes a front substrate, plural scan electrodes(140), plural common electrodes(170), a rear substrate, plural address electrodes, and a barrier rib(240). The scan electrodes are arranged to traverse the front substrate. The common electrodes generate discharges with the scan electrodes. The rear substrate is opposed to the front panel. The address electrodes traverse the rear substrate and include a body portion and an extension portion. The body portion crosses the scan and common electrodes. The extension portion is protruded from the body portion and overlapped with at least one of the scan and common electrodes. The barrier rib defines discharge cells between the front and rear substrates.
