<p>The device (1) has a cross-cutting system located in the vicinity of an outgoing portion downstream of a gripping area, where the system is provided for holding an adhesive tape (14) on an upstream side of the system. A fixed cam is positioned facing an outgoing portion to cause a closure of a gripper in the gripping area, where the cam is provided for holding the gripper in the closed position over the length of the fixed cam. A branch of the gripper is adapted to come into contact with a smooth side of the adhesive tape. An independent claim is also included for a method of preparing a piece of adhesive tape of desired length from a reel of adhesive tape.</p> |
