A welding type fuse and an apparatus for manufacturing the same are provided to improve productivity by automatizing a welding process between an element and a base. A welding type fuse(100) includes a pair of bases(2), a coil type element(1), and a cap type cover(4). The pair of bases are installed by passing through a main body(3). The coil type element is connected to an upper end of the bases. The cap type cover covers an upper end of the main body while wrapping the element. Both end units of the element are connected by being welded to the bases respectively. An end part of the base welded to the element is formed in a flat planar shape.
