The oven (1) has a base structure with a cooking chamber that includes an opening (26) in front face (3), where the opening is closed by a door. The structure includes a ventilation channel (12) placed between the cooking chamber and a case (5), where the channel opens in the front face. A contraction unit (75) for an air flow passage section is provided at an end of a blowing zone of the ventilation channel and positioned inside the ventilation channel. The contraction unit permits modification of the base structure of the oven from an air mover to another air mover.
