A hydraulic pressure drive device capable of increasing mass productivity and productivity in simultaneous production of multiple models. The pressure drive device has an engine (1), a pump unit (100), actuators (5a, 5b, 5c), a control valve unit (4), and an engine speed detection means (4f). The pump unit (100) has a pump tilting control mechanism (8) for load sensing control. The control valve unit (4) has flow rate control valves (15a, 15b, 15c) and pressure compensation valves (10a, 10b, 10c). The engine speed detection means (4f) has a first differential pressure reducing valve (14) for outputting an engine rotation speed-dependent pressure as an absolute pressure, and is included in the valve unit (4). An output pressure from the first differential pressure reducing valve (14) is led as a target load sensing differential pressure to the pump tilting mechanism (8) of the pump unit (100) via a piping (127).
