The inspection unit (1), designed to go in the ground and especially to receive a water meter, consists of a lower housing (2) and a top cover (7) of rectangular cross section with connections for inlet and outlet pipes (6'). The housing and top cover are each made in one piece with double walls or skins (9, 9', 10, 10'), produced by roto-moulding from a thermoplastic polymer material. The housing has a series of spaced horizontal ribs (11), preferably in the form of square or rectangular corrugations, apart from its section inside the top cover, and its lower end has two openings (5) for the pipe connections. |
