<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-productive liquid crystal display device that can be made slim. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 100 includes a liquid crystal panel 102 and a light unit 101 that irradiates the liquid crystal device 102 with light. The light unit 101 includes a light guide plate 108 that guides the light from a light source to the whole surface and irradiates the liquid crystal panel 102 with the light, and an optical sheet 117. The light guide plate 108 and the optical sheet 117 are joined with an adhesive 120 having light diffuseness.
