摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a ribbon which shows excellent workability to a sublimation type thermosensitive ribbon, does not cause elongation, wrinkle, shrinkage wrinkle, breakage or the like in case of printing at a high speed with a thermal transfer printer, and shows excellent printability. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the biaxially stretched PEs film for the sublimation type thermosensitive transfer ribbon made by stretching a non-stretched PEs sheet stepwise in lateral-vertical-lateral directions in this order is characterized in that the non-stretched PEs sheet containing 200 to 800 ppm of a large particle having an average diameter of 2.0 to 5.0 &mu;m and 1,000 to 3,000 ppm of a small particle having an average diameter of 0.1 to 1.5 &mu;m is stretched at a lateral stretch ratio of 3.0 to 4.5 in the first step, at a vertical stretch ratio of 3.2 to 4.5 in the second step, and at a lateral stretch ratio of 1.1 to 1.5 in the third step so that the biaxially stretched PEs film has 5% elongation strength in the vertical direction of not less than 100 MPa, and a difference between breakage strength in the vertical direction and breakage strength in the lateral direction is 20 to 90 MPa. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
