PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head, wherein an optical component is fixed to a housing with high horizontality and in a simple structure.

SOLUTION: The optical head includes the optical component and the housing 2 with the optical component fixed thereto. The optical component is fixed to an end face 22 of one projection 21 provided on the housing 2, by an adhesive, and the end face 22 is nearly round.
