SHORT-WAVELENGTH ULTRAVIOLET DISCHARGE LAMP AND ULTRAVIOLET IRRADIATION TREATMENT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short-wavelength ultraviolet discharge lamp with degradation prevented of treatment efficiency of an object for treatment and excellent in reliability of operation, and an ultraviolet irradiation treatment device using the same, in the short-wavelength ultraviolet discharge lamp irradiating ultraviolet rays including a wavelength band of 220 nm or less. SOLUTION: A lead wire 60 drawn around an outside of a tube body 31 of the short-wavelength ultraviolet discharge lamp 100 is provided with a metal outer package member on an insulated conductor coated with a fluororesin extrusion molded insulator. The ultraviolet irradiation treatment device has the short-wave ultraviolet discharge lamp 100 fitted into a translucent tube with a translucency at a wavelength band of 220 nm or less.
