PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door lock operation method and a door lock system, which allows a sudden visitor to unlock a door, without informing the visitor of a resident's own preset personal identification number. SOLUTION: The door lock system 10 has an antenna 11, a transmitting-receiving part 12, a control part (CPU) 13, a personal identification number memory 15, a clock 16, a key lock part (a door lock) 17 and a personal identification number inputting part 18. A temporary personal identification number for the sudden visitor is stored in the personal identification number memory 15 together with its condition (an expiration date) in addition to an ordinary personal identification number normally used by himself. When receiving communication of the sudden visitor, the temporary personal identification number is transmitted to the visitor by a communication means such as a cellular phone, and even if the resident is absent, a door lock 17 can be unlocked without informing the ordinary personal identification number of the resident's own.
