<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanner device in which a carriage can be driven at desired speed with low noise. <P>SOLUTION: The scanner device for generating image data by scanning a predetermined scanning object includes: an image sensor 20 converting the optical image of the scanning object into the corresponding image data; a moving means (DC motor 26) for moving the carriage having the image sensor in a subscanning direction; a first control means (DC motor control part 513) controlling the moving means by first control processing; a second control means (DC motor control part 513) controlling the moving means by second control processing different from the first control processing; and a selection means (CPU 501) selecting the first or the second control means in accordance with the set content concerning scanning. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
