摘要 <p>A wireless communication method, a transmitter, and a receiver are provided to selectively carry out precoding transmission(beamforming) and MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) communication according to various wireless environments, thereby obtaining communication quality such as propagation reaching ranges and transmission capacities capable of maintaining communication reliability. Among plural antenna groups consisting of plural antennas which are portions of respective transmission antennas(15-1 to 15-Nt) and plural antennas which are portions of respective reception antennas(21-1 to 21-Nr), an antenna group which satisfies the first selection standard regarding communication quality is selected. Among combinations of transmission and reception antennas which constitute the selected antenna group, a combination which satisfies the second selection standard regarding communication quality is selected, and communication is performed by using a portion of or the overall selected combination of the transmission and reception antennas. A spatial multiplexing modulator(11) performs mapping and modulation of the coding sequence obtained by means of necessary error coding into symbols having signal points of such as a predetermined modulation scheme. A precoding processor(12) performs precoding of Ns-number(1<=Ns<=Nr) of transmission data streams by using the precoding matrix or the code word given by a precoding matrix/code word selector(17). The precoding processor maps the transmission data streams to Lt-number of transmission antennas selected by a transmission antenna selection controller(18), thereby performing beam forming by Lt-number of transmission antennas.</p>
