PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof panel mounting unit which is set on a railroad, a road, etc. , facilitates fixing work thereof to supports each having an H-shaped or grooved cross section and erected at predetermined intervals, exerts a stable fixing function without damaging the supports and a soundproof panel, is lightweight, superior in weatherability and corrosion resistance, does not damage the appearance of the soundproof panel after mounting thereof, and is proof against slipout after mounting thereof. SOLUTION: The mounting member is mounted in a gap between the soundproof panel inserted into each support having the H-shaped or grooved cross section, and erected at the predetermined intervals, and one of mutually opposed flanges of the support. The mounting member is formed of: a pressing member which consists of mutually opposed flange portions and a web portion, and has a step in an inside of at least one of the flanges; and an elastically deforming member having a size conforming to an interval inside the step. Then the elastically deforming member is moved in the pressing member in a direction of the step having a narrow interval, to thereby press and hold the soundproof panel and the flange of the support.
