PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording paper capable of reducing curl after fixing even if water content is high. SOLUTION: The recording paper has a coated layer containing a pigment and an adhesive on at least one surface of a base material containing a pulp fiber, and the strain rate in 2.45 N/mm<SP>2</SP>load at 50°C and 65% RH in CD direction is≤0.25%. Preferably, at least one of the base material and the coated layer contains a thermosetting material, and preferably the thermosetting material is a natural product, including an extract thereof or a derivative thereof, and preferably the natural product isβ-1,3-glucan or a derivative thereof, or ceramic or a derivative thereof.
