PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption type refrigerating apparatus simply and inexpensively constructed for the increased heating capacity of high temperature regenerators and heating operation. SOLUTION: The plurality of high temperature regenerators 1w, 1 are provided for increasing the heating capacity. They are connected in series to each other so that absorbent 1aw, 1cw and refrigerant vapor 1bw in the front-stage high temperature regenerator 1w is given to the next-stage high temperature regenerator 1. A drop H is provided between the liquid level of the absorbent 1aw, 1cw in the high temperature regenerator 1w and the liquid level of absorbent 1a, 1c in the high temperature regenerator 1. A heating capacityβof the high temperature regenerator 1w is smaller, and a heating capacityαof the high temperature regenerator 1 is greater. A range of a proportional control region Y beyond a front-stage start/stop region X of the front-stage regenerator 1w is arranged in series to a range of a proportional control region Y beyond a start/stop control region X of the next-stage regenerator 1 for supply heating control. When an increase in the heating amount reaches a maximum value 100% for the heating capacity of the front-stage regenerator 1w, heating in the proportional control region Y of the next-stage regenerator 1 is started. After the heating amount of the front-stage regenerator 1w is reduced by the heating amount of the next-stage start/stop region X, the proportional control region Y of the front-stage regenerator 1w is arranged in series to the proportional control region Y of the next-stage regenerator 1 for supply heating control.
