Starter mechanism for IC engine of motor vehicle

A mechanical assembly for a starter motor consists of a screw (20) whose threaded body (30) is screwed into the threaded end (18,32) of a shaft (14). The head (22) of this screw consists of a radial clamping face (34) which is end stopped against the radial annular face (38) of the end of the shaft (14). The lock washer (42) with teeth (44) is interposed between the clamping face (34) of the head (22) and the annular end (38) of the shaft (14,18). Each of the two faces (34,38) contain notches (36,40) designed to receive a projecting edge of one of the teeth of the washed(42) so that it positively opposes the unclamping of the assembly.
