<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more practical photographing device and photographing method for detecting a defective image by utilizing a result of division photometry using a solid-state imaging element without using sensors other than the solid-state imaging element. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU performs the following operations. The CPU groups a plurality of blocks divided during division photometry into a plurality of groups that are less than the total number of the blocks (step S11). The CPU uses the luminance integrated value of each block acquired by the division photometry to calculate an average luminance value of each group (step S12). The CPU makes one group as a reference group, subtracts the average luminance value of each group adjacent to the reference group from the average luminance value of the reference group and calculates a luminance difference between groups (step S13). The CPU compares the calculated luminance difference between groups with a prescribed value for comparison (step S14). When it is judged that the luminance difference between groups is larger than the prescribed value, the CPU warns a photographer that image data are defective image (step S15). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
