PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking mechanism for fixing a moving member such as a shake correction optical system in a simple composition, and to provide a lens barrel and optical apparatus thereof. SOLUTION: The locking mechanism includes a lock pin 30 movable in a direction of being abutted on a cam cylinder 4 by being supported on a three-group cylinder 6 and a VR body 40, and a coil spring 32 for biasing the lock pin 30 in a direction of the cam cylinder 4. A part abutting the lock pin 30 of the cam cylinder 4 has a first abutting part 41a and a second abutting part 41b different in height of a moving direction of the lock pin 30, respectively. The lock pin 30 is at a position restricting the movement of a movable VR unit 50 when it is abutted on the first abutting part 41a, and is at a position not restricting the movement of the movable VR unit 50 when it is abutted on the second contact part 41b.
