The method involves storing additional substance e.g. cement and sand, in a fodder silo (2) and transporting the substance from the silo to a mixing device (4). The substance is combined with multiple additional substances and with water for manufacturing a fresh concrete. A partial flow of the additional substance taken from the silo is provided in thermal contact with a refrigerant e.g. nitrogen or carbon dioxide, in a cooling device and is fed to the mixing device. The evaporated refrigerant is separated in an area of the cooling device from the additional substance. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing a cooled fresh concrete.
