<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve treatment capacity of microorganisms by stabilizing and activating the microorganisms. <P>SOLUTION: The depth of a nitrification tank 3 and the depth of a denitrification tank 4 are set to 7 m or more, and the discharge part of a lower introduction pipe 14 is disposed in each of the lower parts of the nitrification tank 3 and the denitrification tank 4. In the bottoms of the nitrification tank 3 and the denitrification tank 4, relatively large microbubbles to which microorganisms do not adhere and microbubbles as fine air bubbles resulting from a line mixer type air diffuser 28 are contracted by hydraulic pressure to have a size enough to easily adhere to the microorganisms and a filling material 13. As a result, the microbubbles adhere to the microorganisms, and many of the microbubbles also adhere to the filling material 13 in the state that the microbubbles adhere to the microorganisms, which works on the activation and stabilization (settling) of the microorganisms. In such a way, the stabilization and activation of the microorganisms can be achieved to improve nitrogen-containing wastewater treatment capacity of the microorganisms. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
