<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear of an internal combustion engine of low cost enabling changing the opening/closing timing of engine valves with simple construction. <P>SOLUTION: A cam 36m is fit to a cam shaft 36 so that the cam 36m can turn between a predetermined low-speed phase position and a high-speed phase position advanced from the low-speed phase position by a specific angleα, a centrifugal weight 51 swinging from a contracted position A toward an expanded position B in response to increase of the engine speed is pivoted to the cam shaft 36 or a rotating member 46 integrally rotating with the cam shaft 36, and the space between the centrifugal weight 51 and the cam 36m is connected with the cam 36 through a switch mechanism 85 which turns the cam 36 from the low-speed phase position to the high-speed phase position responding to the swinging of the centrifugal weight 51 from the contracted position A to the expanded position B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
