PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an fuel filler 10 capable of saving a space by a simple constitution, and enhancing the fuel filling work efficiency when pulling out a fuel filler nozzle. SOLUTION: The fuel filler 10 comprises a tank opening forming member 11, an opening/closing member 21 for performing the opening operation to open a tank opening and the closing operation to close the tank opening, a spring 22 for urging the force in the closing direction to the opening/closing member 21, and a delay mechanism 30. The delay mechanism 30 applies the resistance against the force in the closing direction to the opening/closing member 21 so that the speed of the closing operation is slower than the speed of the opening operation by the opening/closing member 21.
