The shaft is arranged within a printing ink roll and at a distance to the printer roller. The shaft is driven by a mechanical connection outside of an ink chamber (12) of the ink duct. The mechanical connection has a gear wheel (10) on the shaft. The shaft is inserted by a sealing (11), which lies on the printing roller.
