PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably hold and convey articles of various sizes and shapes. SOLUTION: This conveying device 10 for articles comprises a first drive device 14 for driving a first drive route 11 and a second drive device 24 for driving a second drive route 21. The distance between the first article holding surface 13 of a first article holder 12 and the second article holding surface 23 of a second article holder 22 can be changed by controlling the first drive device 14 and the second drive device 24.
