PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of detecting tooth face abrasion of a gear surely even if a pinion gear is rotated at high speed, and detecting surely an abrasion quantity with an optional quantity of a user. SOLUTION: This abrasion detection mechanism equipped with the first sensor 1 and the second sensor 2 for detecting the side face of the tooth face of the gear has a constitution wherein it is determined that the gear is abraded when a time difference between a timing when a signal from the first sensor 1 is changed and a timing when a signal from the second sensor 2 is changed when the gear is rotated becomes larger than a threshold set beforehand.
