[PROBLEMS] A hybrid vehicle where an ascent and a descent are determined without the use of a GPS radio wave. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A control unit determines an ascent state and a descent state of a vehicle by using a tilt sensor or a drive sensor for detecting the tilt of the vehicle in the f ront-rear direction relative to a horizontal plane. Alternatively, ascent in formation or descent information on a road is obtained using a driver's cont rol board or a bus location system. The control unit sets a target value of a charge rate of an electricity storage device based on the ascent state, as cent information, descent state, and descent information and controls chargi ng to the electricity storage device. |
