<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content management system through a network. <P>SOLUTION: A server means 330 includes database means 350 and 352 for storing contents and user information, and performs transactions with a terminal means 300 through a transmitting plug-in 306 and a receiving plug-in of the terminal means 300 to execute content management processing. The server means 330 determines and selectively executes requested content management processing based on event information contained in a received message, and transmits display data including the processing result to the terminal means 300.
