Poly(orthoester) polymers, and methods of making and using such poly(orthoester) polymers are provided. The poly(orthoester) poylmers can be useful for applications including, for example, medical devices and pharmaceutical compositions. In a preferred embodiment, the poly(orthoester) polymers are biodegradable.
