The system has a distance pulse generator (1), which has an interface at an output-side for providing wheel rotation signals in a signal format. A vehicle device (2) has an interface at an input-side for processing the wheel rotation signals in another signal format. A signal coupler (3) is arranged between the pulse generator and the vehicle device, where the signal coupler has a conversion unit for converting the former signal format to the latter signal format. The coupler is designed as a separation box between the generator and a distance pulse generator cable (16) of the vehicle device.
