<p>The N antenna outputs are divided into R sub-groups (2,3). Due to the regular arrangement of the antenna elements, a shift invariance in the steering vectors, A, is equal to the product of an arbitrary value, c, and the steering vector of a sub-group. The signal area and white noise area at the antenna outputs are computed for each individual time through signal value decomposition and by maximizing a predetermined direction finding function. The direction finding function states that the function of a parameter, nu, raised to k, where k is equal to 1 to K, is equal to the inverse of the summation from a point, l, in time, t, equal to 1 to L of the product of A sub l raised to h, the square of nu raised to k, U sub n, t sub l, U sub n raised to H, t sub l, and A sub l. The white noise area is orthogonal to the signal area and is represented by U sub n.</p> |
