<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bite type pipe joint improving machinability of a ferrule and a cam face having a greater influence on airtightness, and to provide freezing equipment and a water heater using such a bite type pipe joint. <P>SOLUTION: The bite type pipe joint is provided with a body side joint member 1 formed with a male screw 15 on an outer circumference face, a piping side joint member 2 formed with a male screw 23 on an outer circumference face, and a socket 3 screwed astride the male screws 15, 23 of both joint members. A piping connection port 16 to be inserted with a piping 5 to be connected is formed in an axis part of the body side joint member 1, and a cam face 19 is formed on an inlet part of the piping connection port 16. The ferrule 4 is formed on a tip of the male screw 23 of the piping side joint member 2. The ferrule 4 is composed such that it is separated from the piping side joint member 2 at fastening of both joint members via the socket 3, and it bites into the piping 5 to be connected.
