PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device capable of generating an audible sound informing contents of an internal information in response to closing movement of a lid. SOLUTION: Hierarchically from an upper rank, on/off setting, mode setting and function selecting setting are included setting of a flip sound mode at a flip closing movement. Either one of an effective sound mode and a function mode is selected at the mode setting. When the function mode is selected, a single function is further selected out of a plurality of alarm functions and information advising functions. When setting the information advising function, an information is outputted as giving the contents of internal conditions in a portable telephone in response to the movement of the closing flip.
