The application relates to novel bicyclic compounds of the general formulae (I) and (II)
and the salts thereof, preferably the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, in which Q, T, V, W, X, Y, m and n have the meanings defined in the description, to a process for the preparation thereof and to the use of these compounds as medicines, especially as renin inhibitors.
