<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize acceleration of communication between a digital camera in compliance with the DCF standards and an image data processing apparatus, and to realize reduction in storage areas required for storing image data. <P>SOLUTION: The digital camera transfers only a thumbnail image stored in a main image file stored in the digital camera to the image data processing apparatus, the image data processing apparatus manages one or more transferred thumbnail images by correlating the thumbnail images one to one to the main images stored in the digital camera, confirms the main images by means of the thumbnail images, and thereafter the digital camera transfers desired main image data to the image data processing apparatus. Thus, the communication carried out between the digital camera and the image data processing apparatus can be accelerated and the areas for storing the image data can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
