An apparatus for adjusting position of a bumper rail for a vehicle is provided to minimize the damage of a vehicle body when a collision occurs by automatically adjusting a position of the bumper rail using a solenoid driving motor. A bumper rail position adjusting apparatus comprises a side member(12) which is attached to a side surface of a bumper rail(11) installed at a front of a vehicle body. A bracket(13) is installed at a front surface of the side member, and supports up and down movements of a sliding member(14). A solenoid locking device(20) is installed at one side of the sliding member, and includes a driving pulley which is connected to a solenoid driving motor. The solenoid locking device maintains the position of the bumper rail usually, and drives the solenoid driving motor when a collision occurs.
