An apparatus and a method for transceiving data are provided to offer a local data receive function capable of replacing existing portable broadcasting and use a large screen or an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) TV in a public place as a data communication function in a multi-user environment. A transmitter(200,300) receives digital data having a video frame format in a frame unit, generates control signal information including at least one of an intensity compensation signal, an inclination compensation signal, and a sync signal for each frame of the digital data, stores the control signal information in each frame, and displays the digital data as video data. A receiver(100) photographs the video data displayed by the transmitter and restores the photographed video data into the digital data with the video frame format to acquire the digital data.
